I teach poetry and creative non-fiction at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. I started blogging around 2004 because I noticed that a lot of Filipino university students were blogging and having online conversations about literature. I was interested in what they had to say and wanted to be part of the conversation. Later on, I started using my blog to "record" links to articles on poetry that I thought were useful and provocative.
