MetaxuCafe Updates

Searching Member Sites
I’ve recently added a search function so that you can limit your Google search to just the blogs that are members of MetaxuCafe. I think that will be a good resource for everyone looking for literary topics online and you’ll find it right on the front page as well as other places on the site. Now if you want to read about, say Orhan Pamuk, but only want to search the litblogs you trust, you can narrow your search right here.

Bookworms Carnival is Up!

by superfastreader on August 13, 2007

I hate, hate, hate summer, and the last few days here in NYC have been August at its worst: super humidity, subway-killing flooding from the thunderstorms, and general heat-induced crankiness from my fellow citizens. Now is always when I want to hibernate, and it’s in that spirit that I suggested the theme for this round of the Bookworms Carnival.

Thanks to all who participated! I’ve enjoyed checking out your posts as they’ve come in, and I’m excited to share them now.

Stay cool–and visit the original posts for all the amazing links.

There’s some great Harry Potter and Stephanie Meyer commentary, a takedown of the notion of “summer reading,” reviews of books in all sorts of genres, and lots of inspiration for readers in parts of the world that are hot, sweaty, sticky, and miserable right now.
