Editing. Sometimes I love it, sometimes it’s just hard. It’s going back in time to a moment when something came into life on the page and then standing back and looking at it. The benefit of time, of distance, of the wider picture allows you to alter what happened. Sometimes it’s a tweak, sometimes you delete a scene completely. Often you treasure a bit of writing, but if your honest with yourself it has to go. It never happened. Highlight, copy to a back up somewhere - or if you’re brave delete.

Delete.

Life. Sometimes I love it, sometimes it’s just hard. Going back in time to a moment and tweaking it, warping the past into something different in your mind. Deleting bits? Altering something?

No. Your memory may try. Best not to let it.

Mike
