Do you know what might be fun to do--if not with Spark then later with another prolific author (of short novels)? We read one novel in common and discuss it here, while writing about various other novels by the author on our blogs.

Alrighty then. Let’s go with Muriel Spark. I choose “The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie,” since it’s her most popular work.

As an optional experiment, I invite the Slaves to read another of her books for a little comparative lit study. In the interest of variety, I suggest the interested Slaves to indicate which extra book they will be reading so that we can avoid overlap. However, if you have a particular wish to read a particular title, by all means go right ahead. If you’d like to e-mail me your choice I can list them on my Slaves of Golconda sidebar so they’re all in one place. Goodbye chaps and spurs, hello tams and tartan!
